Bezeq's "Ethernet over SDH" customers include Israel's largest banks, Internet service providers and governmental organisations and institutions.
"Ethernet over SDH" enables branch offices at different physical locations to be connected to their headquarters over the same communications network, and, in so doing, to build a private communications network over Bezeq's public network.
"RAD has developed products that are tailor-made for the needs of carriers, and supplies them quickly and reliably," says Amir Karo, associate vice president of product development and business development at RAD Data Communications.

"RAD's products enable operators to reduce the amount of equipment required in central offices and points-of-presence by concentrating the traffic between branch offices and the central switch located at the customer premises," he explains.
"An additional important point, moreover, is remote management of these products from a central site, meaning that remote diagnostics, alarm monitoring, statistics collection, new configuration downloads, and even changes in the service speed can be carried out without having to send a technician," he continues.
"RAD's devices enable carriers to offer different services with the same level of service, whether over fibre optic or copper wire infrastructure," Karo comments.
"Together, all these advantages find expression in the high level of service that a service provider can provide its customers, while considerably reducing the operating costs (Opex) required to guarantee this high service level".
"The trigger for operators in selecting RAD's solution is the need to simplify their operations and cut costs, in addition to taking advantage of the technical and operational advantages that our devices offer," says Samuel Matsevich, RAD's carrier sales manager in Israel.
"The growing number of service providers in the country on the one hand and the wide variety of communications equipment from various manufacturers on the other have caused the market to become very competitive, so the name of the game is service," Matsevich adds.
"At a time like this, quick response to the needs of the customer and quick adaptation of products constitute RAD's advantage and suitability over its competitors, and we are proud of that capability".
