Israeli VoIP supplier acquisition
RAD Data Communications moves into carrier-grade IP telephony access solutions with acquisition of Lead IP systems of Israel
RAD Data Communications, an industry Leading manufacturer of innovative telecommunications access solutions, has announced that it has acquired the assets of Lead IP Systems, an Israeli start-up and pioneer of carrier-grade IP telephony access solutions.
Founded in 2000, Lead IP has developed an integrated hardware and software VoIP system that has a well-established customer base in Europe.
RAD will incorporate Lead IPs' suite of products into its own portfolio, where it will become the centrepiece of its total VoIP solution.
"RAD brings to the equation a veteran international network of sales and distribution channels, which will ensure that the Lead IP products will move beyond its initial successes in Europe onto the global stage," predicted Efraim Wachtel, President and CEO of RAD Data Communications.
"Our acquisition of Lead IP Systems, therefore, will be a key factor in securing RAD's role as a significant player in the VoIP market".
"Lead IP's technology and solution architecture has set new standards for 'time-to-service' in the VoIP telephony access markets," explained Jack Wakileh, the company's co-CEO.
"By choosing Lead IP's solutions, telephony operators and service providers can set up an integrative VoIP solution within only a few days," he added.
"While the alternative known solutions are based on multi-vendor products, 'glued' and custom-tailored requiring high maintenance costs and high initial investments, Lead IP's offering perfectly fits the providers' business models".
"It has low initial costs requirements and a degree of certainty in planning and projecting ongoing maintenance costs - a major known pitfall for providers' business models".
Lead IP's simple, easy to install, easy to manage, invest-as-you-grow IP-based solution, permits service providers and carriers to increase their profitability and establish new services for small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and residential customers quickly and cost-effectively.
The carrier-grade telephony and data services are provided thanks to a robust softswitch and provisioning system.
Apart from that, the integrated VoIP service suite delivers virtual private networks (VPNs), firewall, LAN services, streaming media, and many other advanced services.
