Test metals developed for new materials
Rapra Technology has helped in developing a range of test methods and results for innovative materials used for packaging absorbents, bio-degradable, microwaveable and ovenable materials.
Rapra Technology, Europe's leading independent plastics and rubber research organisation, has been working with Telford, UK-based Sirane assisted by support from the Wolverhampton, UK-based Polymer Cluster Sirane manufactures a range of packaging and other products including specialised absorbents, bio-degradable, microwaveable and ovenable materials and protective materials for a number of food and other applications

Jointly founded by Simon Balderson and Ian Beardsall, Sirane now employs twenty people, with turnover approaching GBP 1.5million".

Both Rapra Technology and the Polymer Cluster will be exhibiting at the Plastics Design and Moulding (PDM) exhibition in Telford from April 12-14, 2005.
