Casters produce oxygen-free re-draw copper rod
With significant developments made to continuous rod casters the benefits of the latest generation of copper rod casting models, that deliver 02-free copper re-draw rod, will be shown in China.
UK-based continuous casting technology specialists, Rautomead International, of Dundee, see the forthcoming Wire China Exhibition as the perfect opportunity to present the latest advancements in their range of continuous casting equipment to a worldwide audience.
"Whilst the benefits of using the Rautomead continuous casting process are now well recognised throughout the global precious metals, copper rod and copper alloy rod casting industries, we look forward to the opportunity of meeting many new customers, especially those from the Chinese, Far-Eastern and Asian marketplaces," commented Rautomead Chairman, Sir Michael Nairn.
With significant developments made to the Rautomead range over the last 12 months, the company will be displaying the benefits of its latest generation of copper rod casting models, machines that deliver the very highest quality oxygen-free copper re-draw rod.
Rautomead continuous casting technology is now in use in over 250 installations around the world.
Rautomead's Graphite Furnace Technology, used for the processing of non-ferrous metals, ensures the production of the highest quality CuOF 8mm diameter wire rod.
This high quality material benefits manufacturers of enamelled wires, LAN cables and fine wires by improving the productivity of wire drawing and processing operations.
Manufacturers using multi-strand wire drawing equipment will also notice significant increases in productivity.
Rautomead wire rod casting technology is available for production outputs of 3,000 to 30,000 tonnes per year.
