Said Brian Steatham, chairman of Rodmatic: "To service this sector you need local customer support, but most important to have in-depth knowledge of the industry and to be able to co-ordinate our production expertise with customer requirements." Eadie, who is 46, has a background in fluid control systems and the provision of mechanical, electrical and instrumental service operations to offshore companies.
His expertise also includes 'deep hole' tooling, oil rig pumps, valves and actuation devices, as well as supply of service equipment.
To which he added: "The reputation of Rodmatic in maintaining on-time delivery and its pro-active approach to invest in advanced production equipment to service special contract requirements, will be an important asset." In addition, he maintained: "The in-house CAD to CAM and in-depth production experience that provides a design for manufacture consultancy across volume and smaller batch work will be ideal for producing bespoke components for this sector.".
