Component sourcing moves to larger premises

Rencol Component Sourcing Solutions, formerly known as The Ray Engineering Company, has relocated to bigger premises at Avonbridge Trading Estate, Avonmouth, Bristol, UK.

Rencol Component Sourcing Solutions, formerly known as The Ray Engineering Company, has relocated to bigger premises with triple the amount of storage space (6000 cubic metres), and a 22-strong workforce.

For 83 years, Rencol was a manufacturing company created and based in Southmead Road, Bristol, producing knobs, handles and handwheels, to be sold to a wide range of industries around the world.

Although knobs, handles and handwheels continue to be a core business, we are now part of a major USA group with extensive China-based sourcing and manufacturing facilities for a diverse range of products, which continues to open many new opportunities for us.

In order to communicate these changes Rencol has undergone a major brand overhaul, which we hope will become synonymous with our exciting new capabilities.

Not only will we continue to introduce new ranges of knobs, handles and handwheels, but our new and distinct advantages will allow us to develop many new product groups.

These include index plungers, levelling feet, hinges and toggle clamps, with many more products in the pipeline.

We are also in the process of defining a preferred range for which we will always guarantee availability and this preferred range will be continually changing and evolving to meet our customers' needs.

Most importantly our products are no longer limited to plastic mouldings and we are now able to source any product a customer may require, particularly specialising in machined castings, sub-assemblies, cast and machined metal parts.

We are already searching for a new member to join the Rencol team, to assist with marketing and have plans to employ additional sales personnel before the end of the year.

With a long history of local and family employment, leaving the premises in Southmead Road was a nostalgic moment for many at Rencol, especially those working here for more than 20 years.
