Vibratory pellet screen removes unwanted
product
Vibratory pellet screen, a novel machine intended for installation in the extrusion line, after the granulator, screens out all out-of-specification products from quality pellet.
Robin Engineering Services will demonstrate at K'2004 the Qualconvey Vibratory Pellet Screen, a unique machine intended for installation in the extrusion line, after the granulator, to screen out all off-spec product from quality pellet The Qualconvey Pellet Screen is a simple machine, which uses vibration to move extruded granulate over a perforated plate, or a number of plates or a combination of plates and woven wire meshes to classify by particle size

Water drops removed from extruded plastics strand
An innovative solution to the problem of removing water droplets from extruded plastics strand is designed to deliver the driest extruded plastic strand possible for granulation.
The diameter of the perforations or the mesh aperture is judiciously selected to separate, say, quality granulate from oversize or longs, or to grade the granulate into three or more sizes.
Aimed particularly at the producers of masterbatch, the Qualconvey Pellet screen has been designed to be easy to clean.
All risk of cross contamination of colour is avoided when changing, say, from red to blue, since all corners which might act as dust traps having been eliminated and "rogue" granules have nowhere to hide.
All contact parts on the Qualconvey Pellet Screen are produced in stainless steel, grade 304, with the entire screening assembly being mounted on a mild steel framework.
Vibration is created by an adjustable vibratory motor which permits the precise control of speed of movement of the pellet and the amplitude of vibration on the screen itself.
The standard Qualconvey range of Vibratory Pellet Screens is suitable for capacities up to 4000kg/h and, to satisfy larger requirements, additional tailor made models will be produced.
The Qualconvey Pellet Screen is one of a range of products offered by Robin Engineering Services to make life easier for plastic compounders which includes the Qualconvey Vacuum Air Knife and the Qualconvey Valve Sack Packer.
