Deburring device designed for robotic use

A Robotic Accessories Division product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Apr 16, 2003

A quite, powerful, variable power air motor drives an end-of-arm robotic device for burr removal, finishing, and polishing operations on metals, plastics, and other materials.

Robotic Accessories has developed a variably-compliant end-of-arm device for burr removal, finishing, and polishing operations on metals, plastics, and other materials.

Featuring a powerful 0.88 horsepower air motor that is extremely quiet, this unit has the power needed for the most challenging finishing applications.

The robot program can continuously vary the compliance force applied to the workpiece by changing the air pressure to the tool's compliance unit, allowing for changes in application characteristics without human intervention.

One unique feature of this device is that it is compliant in all three dimensions (X, Y, and Z), instead of in just one dimension.

Simple and lightweight in design, it uses standard 1/4in bits, and does not require lubricated shop air.

100% made in the USA.
