Radan estimation software integrates fabrication
Estimation software will enable a metal fabricator to integrate their activities from initial enquiry, through quotation and production, to final delivery and payment, said Radan Computational.
In Bristol, UK, fabricator City Engineering has purchased Radan's e2i estimate-to-invoice multipurpose management system.
It will enable City Engineering to integrate its company activities from initial enquiry for a contract, through the quotation and production stages, to final delivery and payment.
The family-owned sheet metal fabrication business supplies customers in the defence and semi-conductor industries.
It selected e2i to replace a bespoke system designed in-house.
City Engineering owner, Dr Robert Davies, explained: "Our own system worked well because we designed it specifically for our requirements but it was lacking in a few important areas.
We did consider purchasing a front end system from our CAD/CAM supplier but on closer examination realised it could not provide us with the capability we were looking for".
After evaluating systems from several vendors, e2i from Radan made it to the 'short list' and was selected because it offered all the functionality the company required in addition to high performance, stability and first class local support.
"This approach is vital for City Engineering a business built on long-term partnerships with customers and committed to the highest quality standards," concluded Dr Davies.
"We are confident that e2i will significantly improve our efficiency and productivity in the long-term".
