The MTS Technologies LD Series marketed by RDP Electronics is a 'fit and forget' robust, accurate position sensor designed specifically for space restricted hydraulic cylinder applications and perfect for Clevis Pin operation.
The magnetostrictive sensing element of the LD system is protected in a pressure proof (350 bar) stainless steel tube fitted into the hydraulic cylinder.
A wear free magnet fitted within the cylinder transmits cylinder position to the system's advanced electronics, which can be programmed remotely.
The system provides absolute measurement.
Output options for the data or closed loop control are voltage or current, with digital versions also available offering the capability to interface the LD system with most PLCs and industrial controllers.
