Sensor offers economical machine
positioning

A rugged, magnetostrictive sensor brings to machinery builders a low cost device to measure and control linear positioning up to 2200mm with a linearity of 0.02%.

RDP Electronics has introduced a rugged, industrial EP Series magnetostrictive sensor It offers machine builders an ideal, low cost sensor for measuring and controlling linear positions in an automated system

The sensor uses a well-proven MTS magnetostrictive 'absolute' principle, said RDP, to give a linearity of 0.02% to a repeatability of 0.001%.

Measuring ranges are available up to 2200mm with analogue outputs of 4-20mA, or 0-10V.

The sensing magnet, which identifies the system position, can be supplied in various styles. Request a free brochure from RDP Electronics ...
