Hot runner developed for IBM tooling
Having established itself as the 'best in class' hot runner system for single stage injection stretch blow moulding, the Genesis product has been extended to injection blow moulding (IBM).
R and D Tool and Engineering, world leaders in blow mould tooling for the global packaging sector, have announced an extension of their proprietary hot runner system Genesis Genesis has now established itself as the 'best in class' hot runner system for single stage Injection Stretch Blow Moulding (ISBM) tooling and now further research at R and D has resulted in the development of Genesis hot runner technology for use with Injection Blow Moulding (IBM) tooling

Commenting on the announcement, which comes after the success of R and D's inaugural Technology Seminar, CEO Rex Luchtel said: "Before the launch of Genesis, we were already widely respected for our ISBM tooling expertise but the success of Genesis has meant that we can now be considered as a world leader in single stage ISBM tooling and we hope that adding Genesis technology to the existing strengths of our IBM platform will also enable us to further enhance our market position in this area." Genesis will be one of the products on show when R and D exhibit at PETpoint 2005 (Munich 12-17 September, co-located with drinktec 2005).
R and D will be involved in the PET World Congress that will run alongside PETpoint and are sponsoring the bottledwaterworld 2005 design awards.
R and D support a number of key areas of the global plastics packaging sector such as food and beverages, cosmetics, household and personal care sectors focussing on PET containers as well as servicing the wider plastics industry and now have a presence in USA, UK, France, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Turkey and South Africa.
Their range of products includes one stage and two stage injection stretch blow mould tooling, preform moulds, injection blow mould tooling, extrusion blow moulds, injection moulds and their proprietary hot runner system, 'Genesis'.
