Tool and engineering firm to 'move house'
R and D Tool and Engineering's UK operations are due to be transferred over to the new factory during October and an 'Open House' event will be announced soon.
As previously announced, R and D Tool and Engineering's UK operation is relocating to a larger purpose-built facility.
The new facility is sited close to the existing UK operation, near to Mansfield in Nottinghamshire and will be nearly 50% larger than the previous site with an expanded development capability.
R and D's UK facility oversees all Group activities outside of the Americas and the move comes on the back of continued rising sales, penetration into to new export markets and an expansion of R and D's sales network in Europe and the Middle East in recent years.
Operations are due to be transferred over to the new factory during October and it is expected that the close proximity of the new and old facilities will enable there to be a relatively smooth transition in operations.
R and D is planning to hold its first UK Open House event at the new facility for existing and prospective customers in April 2007.
Further details will be announced in due course.
