Focusing its development efforts on the optimization of working steps in production and tool-making, a workholding equipment maker shows how to speed up and get the most from EDM.

Speed is not everything, but without speed, everything is nothing! More than ever before, this saying is accurate and trail-blazing In all productive enterprises, speed has been given top management priority

Consequently, Erowa has focused its development efforts on the optimization of the various working steps in production and tool-making.

At the EMO 2003, we are presenting various "speed" solutions: Erowa Holder dia 72: the suitable solution for high-speed milling machines.

Whether they are of copper or steel, HSC chips are small, fine, and wherever they are not supposed to be - except in the ITS Integrated Tooling System with full cover, which keeps the chips out.

The well-thought-out holders and covers, which fit all EROWA tooling system sizes from the PC 210 to the PowerChuck and ITS, ensure that the contact surfaces are clean and the process correspondingly safe - also in automatic mode.

Erowa MTS Automatic Chuck: for speed and safety in the automatic loading/unloading process.

Sensibly guided air jets ensure that pallets and chuck contacts remain clean.

This means that pallet changes become even speedier, no matter whether they are carried out with an overhead crane or with a Robot.

Fast and clean: this is the motto of MTS EasyGraph, the graphite blanks for the Erowa tooling system.

The prefabricated blanks can be speedily clamped for machining.

The three qualities of the series have been designed for roughing, finishing and fine-finishing.

All the forms are available in the different qualities.

This removes all the obstacles to an efficient and fast manufacture of graphite electrodes.

EWIS Rapid, the speedy way of pallet identification in robot magazines.

With the increasing size of magazines, the time needed for the automatic identification of pallets becomes more critical.

With EWIS Rapid, Erowa has once again set an important standard.

The widely used transponder technology allows for the use of favorably priced chips.

Thanks to the skilful application of a special software interface, the largest amounts of pallets are identified and evaluated within less than 25 seconds.

It does not matter whether the Robot has one or several magazines.

EWIS Rapid, for fast and favorably priced identification.

Robot Multi provides a large workpiece reserve for fast machines.

WEDM centers, too, are becoming faster and faster.

To make sure that these machines have a sufficient work reserve for the weekend, the magazines of the loading stations must have corresponding capacities.

In such a case, 90 positions for the tried-and-tested PalletSet palletizing system are just the thing.

In another configuration, the magazine accommodates 160 pallets of various sizes.

Thus there is always enough space for the electrodes needed for the production of complex forms on EDM centers.

Further details will be provided live at Erowa's stand in Milan.

The JMSPro Workflow Management System guarantees an overview of production.

At a time when everything must be done faster and faster, optimal aids are required.

The JMSPro provides users with crucial advantages in their daily efforts to achieve an optimal machine utilization.

The working steps are generated automatically, and their logical sequence is automatically monitored.

Quick changes are checked by an ingenious status monitoring system, and it can be seen at all times what production cell is working on what part.

If necessary, status messages are sent to the operators by mobile phone or e-mail.

JMSPro for speedy information about fast machines.
