Laser speeds up dynamic materials
cutting
600W of CO2 laser power in a sealed-off source can cut 3mm thick materials at up to 20m/sec and it can make 'on-the-fly cutting' of web material easier and quicker.
Rofin-Baasel UK announces the new StarShape 600 C system which combines 600W of CO2 laser power in a sealed-off source with the range of 2 axis and 3 axis galvo heads for rapid processing under PC control Using the well-proven LaserCAD package as a front-end, the system can cut materials up to 3mm thick at speeds of up to 20m/sec

Laser marking system uses dual axis scanning technology to mark small and large characters on packaging lines at speeds in excess of 1000 containers per minute.
With a 3 axis galvo it is possible to cover an area of 1250 x 1250 mm making 'on-the-fly' cutting of web material easier and quicker.
At 600W output power, the laser represents the highest output sealed off DC slab laser design, in a compact package which can be integrated onto new or existing machinery.
The laser can be fitted with up to two scanner heads allowing simultaneous cutting or welding in two adjacent locations.
Primary applications include cutting and scribing of plastics sheet as well as cutting of paper, wood, leather and cardboard materials. Request a free brochure from Rofin-Baasel UK ...
