Redesigned laser welders are easy to
integrate
Laser welding systems designed for ease of integration into production automation cells provide a combination of high peak power and excellent pulse-to-pulse stability for consistent results.
Redesigned Laser Welders Easy to Integrate Rofin-Baasel UK announces the launch of the redesigned StarWeld 40 and StarWeld 90 laser welding systems for ease of integration into production automation cells The StarWeld 40/90 offers top of the range laser technology, giving optimum welding results and providing a unique combination of high peak power (for welding reflective materials like copper and aluminium) and excellent pulse-to-pulse stability for consistent results when welding critically precise components

High beam quality pulsed YAG profiles finely
In medical device manufacture, pulsed Nd:YAG lasers now can do the work of profiling increasingly finer, structures.
Improvements in the resonator include the patented Sweet Spot Resonator for ultimate consistency and best beam quality and compatibility with the Quantiflex range of fibre time and energy sharing outputs allowing up to six fibres to be fitted and can control up to three scanner heads (galvo heads) for dynamic beam welding.
The Quantiflex energy share offers fine balancing of up to three fibres giving less than 1% variation in pulse energy per fibre.
Ease of service and maintenance has been taken into account in the redesign and the set-up is very modular with access to modules straightforward.
The system has a low height and removable remote control pendant allowing the laser to slide under a workbench or machine bed.
The laser system footprint is also minimised to avoid excessive use of floorspace.
The laser has also been fitted with the new standard controller which is a common hardware platform for all Rofin lasers (welding, cutting and laser marking).
Primary applications are spot welding or hermetic seam welding of fine components in stainless steel, titanium, copper, aluminium, gold, platinum or silver.
The combination of high peak power and low average power makes high speed spot welding with a galvo/scanner head affordable and fast.
Integration is simple with OEM and Integrator support documentation packages, and the system internal diagnostics allow easy fault finding and minimum downtime. Request a free brochure from Rofin-Baasel UK ...
