Investment brings seal making in-house
Supplier of standard and customised seals has purchsed a CNC Seal-Master machine tool so it can offer a full range of standard seals up to 600mm outside diameter and made 'in-house'.

Rhondama believes that it is one of only two UK seals suppliers to have purchased such a specialist CNC machine tool.
The company is carrying out a strategic move to increase its own manufacturing.
By buying the CNC machine the company is able to increase seals output.
More production increases are expected into 2008.
Managing director of Rhondama, Grahame Briers, said: "We have always manufactured seals, however our core focus has previously been on distribution".
"Now we are changing direction and investing in the manufacturing side of the business.
This allows us to really demonstrate our expertise by being able to offer the full range of standard seals manufactured in-house up to 600mm outside diameter and up 2500mm as an out-sourced item, as well as being able to accommodate bespoke orders." He added: "With over 30 years experience in the business we welcome our customers to take advantage of our full technical back-up support and application advice across the whole range of products supplied and manufactured by us.
We shall of course continue to offer the same high level of service and quality products our customers expect when we supply items from the many companies for whom we are a distributor or stockist." Briers concluded: "In order to meet our production expectations the purchase of the Seal Master was essential and we have certainly not been disappointed.
The machinery has increased our production in terms of both quality and quantity and it really makes us stand out from the competition." The CNC machine tool has an eight-station tool turret, which with its advanced software, specially designed tooling, proven raw material quick fit system and chip disposal unit.
These features make the Seal-Master 600 a leading product in this class of machine tool.
