Machining centres have high accuracy
Machining centres characterised by the upside down T shape structure and by a single compact base have been designed for machining aluminium, steel and cast iron components.
The Mandelli Thunder range (500, 630 and 800 models that are also available with tilting table) is characterised by the upside down T shape structure and by a single compact base; it has been designed for machining aluminium, steel and cast iron components according to the most advanced machining technology The new HD model (Heavy-Duty) is characterised by a high performance spindle, with torque to almost 1,000Nm and by increased work-piece dimensions (1100mm) and weight (1,200kg)

Flexible production cell has 5-axis machining
A flexible production cell with two independent single-spindle/twin-spindle machining centers and a four-position pallet changer, has been up-graded with a 5-axis version with faster tool change.
Flexible machining system is user-friendly
A simple, user-friendly machining cell has five machining modules mounted on the same frame, which combines the high productivity of parts within a 300mm3 cube with excellent flexibility.
Amongst the outstanding features of these machining centers are the high static and dynamic accuracy and the high productivity thanks to the acceleration and speed along with the cut down tool and pallet changing times.
On one side, the high spindle speed, the accuracy of the feeding system and the technologic features of the bearings assure excellent results when machining aluminium, and on the other, the high spindle power and torque give exceptional performances on steel and cast iron.
The thermally stabilised, self-supporting, monolithic, structure with only three location points guarantees accuracy throughout time.
In addition, the fact that the machine does not require foundations, and that it occupies very little space, allows for the workshop layout to easily be changed.
This rigid and compact 'box in the box' type structure, even when equipped with a tilting table, guarantees remarkable stock removal and high accuracy; the 1/10 ratio between fixed and mobile masses on the Thunder machining center is excellent; the product therefore offers high rigidity and thermic inertia as well as exceptional dynamics.
