Spiral elevator conveyors save space

A Riley Automation product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Apr 3, 2008

Spiral elevator conveyors offer minimum floor space with maximum conveying length and enable products to be elevated or lowered from 0.5m to 5.0m in height.

Valuable floor space must be used efficiently.

The transportation and movement of products between processes using traditional methods often means that a considerable area of the factory floor can be unavailable due to the presence of conveyor systems, said Riley Automation.

This is especially significant when time is required to heat, cool or dry product between the various process steps, as traditional conveyors take up even more precious floor space to generate the time delays which may be required.

Riley Automation has developed a range of Spiral Elevator systems which have a minimum footprint but provide maximum conveying length from their helical design.

Spiral Elevators enable products to be either elevated or lowered from between 0.5m and 5.0m in height enabling time delays between adjoining processes to be achieved within a confined space.

The vibration of the system can be varied and adjusted to provide the optimum frequency and amplitude required for a specific product or component being handled.

Also the gentle action and constant feed principles of these systems means that product degradation is eliminated thus maintaining product integrity and quality.

* Engineering excellence - Riley Automation material handling solutions are tailor made for each individual application and combine engineering excellence with innovative ideas and technology.

All Spiral Elevator systems are precision manufactured from laser cut components ensuring a highly accurate and cost effective production method.

Options are available for flight section, construction materials and flight coating providing the optimum solution for the product under consideration.Riley Automation offers a complete range of systems for material handling and parts feeding applications including the following.
