Vertical bandsaw cuts mitres on both
sides
Based on a vertical bandsaw, with a horizontal swivel axis to allow mitres on both sides, the machine series offers a relatively large cutting range when compared with its small 'footprint' area.
The market leader in metal sawing machines and bar storage systems, Kasto Maschinenbau, presents the new automatic or semi-automatic bandsaw KASTOvericut in conjunction with the Open House 'FutureDays 05' With the new KASTOvericut series, the trendsetter Kasto counts on the optimum mix of functionality, ergonomics, cutting performance, work and miter adjustment range as well as design

Turning and parting-off heavy tube and pipe
A new range of large capacity, CNC turning and part-off equipment for tube up to 8in diameter has been introduced to the UK by Rivers Machinery under a sole agency agreement.
Based on a vertical bandsaw, with a horizontal swivel axis to allow miters on both sides, this new machine series offers a relatively large cutting range compared with the little needed floor space of 2820 x 1860mm.
The cutting range for straight cuts is 600 x 460mm (h x w), at 45 deg the work range is 425 x 460mm.
With a maximum miter angle of 60 deg, a cutting range of 300 x 460mm (h x w) is still possible.

Large capacity end-working machines marketed
The Italian manufacturer of facing, centering and end finishing machines, Caorle SpA, has appointed Rivers Machinery to sell and service its products in the UK.
For an accurate and blade saving cut (dimensions of saw blade 34 x 1 or 41 x 1,3mm), the main drive is infinitely variable from 12 to 120m/min.
Moreover, the KASTO-Universal Hydraulic allows a fine-tuned, adaptable saw feed.
For an optimum mitre cut, the saw blade is tilted 3 deg towards the cutting plane.
Alternatively, a machine with two cutting speeds of 30 and 60m/min is available.
Starting with a basic version with a fixed table and manually adjustable short stroke clamping devices, the machine can be optimised step-by-step with a continuous roller conveyor, hydraulic long stroke clamping cylinders and an automatic material feed unit.
To set the miter angle of the double-sided swivable saw head (+60 deg/-45 deg), a basic, manual version with a stop brake or a version with an electric drive and display directly at the operating panel are available.
To manually adjust the miter angle, a stop is available every 15 deg.
As an option, the upper band guide arm can be hydraulically adjusted for the right cutting height.
An optional auger is available to discharges chips.
The automatic version comes with a 3000mm single stroke material feed unit, directly flanged on to the machine.
The standard NC Kasto CompactControl controls centrally and ergonomically all operating functions.
Optional, the mitre setting, the cutting speed, a measuring stop or pusher system and the material feed vise can be NC operated as well.
Considering the modern, ergonomically and stable design of the machine, the extensive standard equipment as well as the large cutting and miter range, the KASTOvericut is a very interesting machine for cutting I-beams, tubes and extrusions in industries such as machine building, steel construction and steel distribution with a great cost/benefit ratio.
