Circular saw suits job shops and
production
Producing cost-effective single and series cuts, a universal mitre cutting circular saw available as a semi-automatic or a NC version, produces straight and mitre cuts.
The new product KASTOflex, which will be presented during the Kasto-Futuredays 05 by Kasto, the leading manufacturer of saws, sawing systems, sawing centres and bar storage systems, is a new universal mitre cutting circular saw series in a semi-automatic or a NC-controlled version for straight and mitre cuts This machine performs cost-effectively single and serial cuts

A new range of large capacity, CNC turning and part-off equipment for tube up to 8in diameter has been introduced to the UK by Rivers Machinery under a sole agency agreement.
The base of the machine is the semi-automatic version KASTOflex U with a centering support table that can turn to the left and right.
Mitre cuts from +90 deg to -90 deg (180 deg swivel range) can be adjusted quickly and with the accurate angle.
Another special feature is the saw blade moving from the bottom up.

Sequential sawing, drilling and notching of aluminium extrusions on separate machines have been replaced by multiple machining in a single clamping in a Dubus cell at Coram (UK).
It is driven via a precise 4-step gear box with bevel-toothed, hardened and ground gears running in an oil bath, either by a pole-switchable motor (cutting speeds 12 to 24m/min) or a frequency-controlled three-phase motor (10 to 60m/min).
The frequency controlled motor has a capacity of 4kW.
Together with a finely adjusted vertical clamping vise, either solids or tubes and profiles can be cut accurately and quickly without any problems The fast set-up is supported by an encoder to 'teach-in' entry of the saw blade lift limitation, the free access to the saw blade through a large door and the ideal pivot point when adjusting the mitre angle.
The KASTOflex series can be easily operated and set-up via a, for example, serial NC-control CompactControl, which is equipped with an LCD display and allows the operator to enter an order with just a few order menus.
The rotating support table is equipped with an accurate 4-point complete roller bearing.
The swivel axis of the saw gear is pretensioned via tapered roller bearing.
Solid or segmented saw blades with a diameter from 350 to 450mm are used.
The cutting range of the KASTOflex U is max.
380 x 25mm (flat),140 x 140mm (square) or 150mm dia (round) and of the KASTOflex A max 270 x 20mm (flat), 140 x 140mm (square) or 150mm dia (round), The very compact circular saws can be equipped with different accessories like roller conveyors and measuring stops as well as a NC rotary table.
The KASTOflex A is the right machine when larger amounts of cuts have to be made.
The automatic material feed allows material lengths of up to 2000mm in straight cut (up to 1975mm in mitre cut) in one stroke.
The shortest remnant is 35mm for straight cuts and 95mm with one-sided 45 deg mitre cut.
For smaller to medium series with different cut piece lengths and miter angles, the machine can be equipped with the 2-axes CNC, which positions the ball lead screw feed system and the rotary table.
As an option, the patented 'pusher concept' can be used for cut piece removal.
If needed, the KASTOflex miter cutting saws can be equipped with chain driven infeed magazines.
The highest automation degree is the total integration into a sawing center or in a bar storage system.
The universal circular saw KASTOflex for straight and miter cuts is ideally suited for fast and safe cutting of tubes, hollow profiles and solids.
