Modular circular saws have 180 deg
swivel
Modular range of circular saws offer a work support table that can be rotated to the left and right, allowing a fast and accurate angle adjustment of miter cuts between +/-90 deg.
The market leader KASTO offers metal building, steel construction, metal processing companies as well as steel distributors an extensive product range of saws and systems to store bar stock or sheet metal: the circular saws KASTOflex With the introduction of the KASTOflex series, the product range circular saws - especially for structure steel - is rounded up by universally usable miter circular saws

Turning and parting-off heavy tube and pipe
A new range of large capacity, CNC turning and part-off equipment for tube up to 8in diameter has been introduced to the UK by Rivers Machinery under a sole agency agreement.
The KASTOflex is based on a modular machine concept and consists of three machine versions in total.
The sturdy and robust welding construction, high-quality machine elements, efficient drives and controls as well as easy operation are the best prerequisites for a flexible use in machine shops, metal and steel building facilities as well as in the metal processing production industry and in steel distribution.
Main characteristic of the machine design is the support table that can be rotated to the left and right allowing a fast and angle-accurate adjustment of miter cuts from +/-90 deg (total swivel area 180 deg).

Dubus machine cuts shower component costs
Sequential sawing, drilling and notching of aluminium extrusions on separate machines have been replaced by multiple machining in a single clamping in a Dubus cell at Coram (UK).
Due to the four-point roller bearing of the machine table, it can be easily and accurately rotated and manually adjusted via a vernier.
Fixed stops are available for straight and for +/-45 deg cuts.
Upon request, more fixed stops can be installed.
Moreover, the KASTOflex Miter Circular Saws are easily accessible since the total enclosure can be opened wide to change the saw blade and to access the work area.
For reproducible accurate quality cuts, either HSS-solid steel or HSS-segmented saw blades with diameters from 350mm to 450 mm are used.
Equipped with a strong direct drive (pole-changing three-phase motor) and a four step bevel-toothed spur gear drive, the KASTOflex Miter Circular Saws economically cut solids as well as tubes and profiles of all material qualities.
A saw blade change is normally not necessary.
The combination of infinitely variable cutting speed via frequency control (optional) and the infinitely variable hydraulic constant saw feed adjusts by itself to the cutting task.
This eliminates set-up times in mixed operation, which ensures higher efficiency and output - but with the same amount of personnel and in the same time.
* KASTOflex U - the KASTOflex U has a cutting range of max.
380 x 25mm (flat), 140 x 140mm (square) or 150mm diameter (round).
Designed as a semi-automatic machine, it is suited to cut solids and especially tubes and profiles in 90 deg cut as well as double-sided miter cuts.
The material is clamped via hydraulic short stroke vertical clamping vise activated by the push of a button.
* KASTOflex A - the KASTOflex A has a cutting range of maximum 260 x 30mm (flat), 140 x 140mm (square) or 150 mm diameter (round).
Designed as an automatic saw, the KASTOflex A is best suited for fast single cuts as well as mass production cutting.
Equipped with a material feed vise, which opens to both sides, the return stroke to re-grip and position to the next cut-piece length is made without contact between vise and material.
The feed vise positions accurately via ball lead screw.
This allows single stroke feed lengths up to 2000mm for straight or 1975mm for miter cuts.
In automatic operation, the remnant length with 90 deg straight cut is 35mm and with miter cuts 95mm, which reduces the amount of material needed.
The KASTOflex A has the KASTO-saw control CompactControl.
It allows easy and safe operation as well as fast order entry.
* KASTOflex F - the KASTOflex F is designed for the fully automatic cutting process of 90 deg and miter cuts.
Independent of the number of cut-pieces and the cut-piece lengths, saw orders can be processed fully automatically and without any personnel - as long as there is a sufficient supply.
Depending on order spectrum and amounts, the material supply and cut-piece sorting takes place via optional infeed roller conveyors or magazines as well as via outfeed roller conveyor and cut-piece sorting units.
The KASTOflex F has the saw control KASTO EasyControl.
It makes entering of orders easy by using the graphic design of the cutting geometry and the calculated material amount per order.
The allocation of the saw parameter and the cutting data to the appropriate material master data stored in the material memory is done automatically.
