Vertical bandsaw cuts large profiles
A vertical bandsaw - in a semi-automatic and automatic version - cuts large I-beams, tubes and profiles yet only requires a a relatively compact 'footprint'.
To cut large I-beams, tubes and profiles, KASTO Maschinenbau offered the KASTOvericut vertical bandsaw at EMO 2007 in a semi-automatic as well as in a fully automatic version This machine was designed according to the principle of a vertical bandsaw, where the miter angle can be adjusted on both sides by a horizontal swivel axis

Turning and parting-off heavy tube and pipe
A new range of large capacity, CNC turning and part-off equipment for tube up to 8in diameter has been introduced to the UK by Rivers Machinery under a sole agency agreement.
With a relative large work range of 600 x 460mm (h x w) in straight cut, this machine only needs a comparably small footprint of 2820 x 1860mm.
With a 45 deg miter angle, the work range is still 425 x 460mm and with a maximum miter angle of 60 deg is 300 x 460mm.
Even in the basic semi-automatic version, this machine offers a continuous machine roller conveyor and hydraulic long stroke clamping cylinders on both sides of the cutting channel.
This allows a transport of raw material and cut-pieces even with short lengths without any problems due to the roller conveyor reaching from both sides up to the cutting channel.
To set the miter angle of the saw head (+60/-45 deg or +60/-60 deg, optional), a powered drive and a digital display at the operator's panel are used.
The upper band guide arm can be hydraulically adjusted to the material height.
The automatic version of the KASTOvericut A is equipped with an electro-mechanical CNC-material feed, which moves with a feed length of up to 3000mm.
The standard machine has a CompactControl CNC, which centrally and ergonomically controls all operating function.
Depending on selected options, miter swiveling, cutting speed, a moving measuring stop, a pusher system or the material feed vice (vise) are adjusted and controlled via the CompactControl.
The touch-screen control EasyControl is used for automatic cutting of different profiles.
When this machine is integrated into a KASTOcenter, in a KASTOsawcell or with cut-piece handling via robot, the sawing machine control TechnoControl is used.
With its modern, ergonomic and sturdy machine design, the extensive equipment in the standard version as well as the large cutting and swivel range, the KASTOvericut is an interesting product with an excellent cost/benefit ratio for the cutting of I-beams, tubes and profiles in machine manufacturing, steel construction and steel distribution.
