Occupying the same cutout and panel space as the PanelView 550 touch-only, the PanelView 550 and 600 touch-only displays offer end-users and OEMs a monochrome or colour choice with the same comprehensive features found in the rest of the popular Allen-Bradley PanelView range.
These features include Universal Language Support to create screen and object text in over 46 different languages; extensive alarm capabilities; a choice of communications options including DeviceNet, ControlNet and DF-1; pixel graphic displays; and PC memory cards for easy application transfer.
Using Allen-Bradley PanelBuilderTM 32 development software, screens can be created that reflect a more intuitive representation of plant operations.

Diagnosis and maintenance of machine tools
Rockwell Automation has introduced the QC10 ballbar which gives maintenance technicians a tool for assessing the dynamic motion and positioning precision of machine tools and production machinery.
Integrated automation reduces costs and errors
Getting discrete automation equipment elements to understand, interrogate, integrate and interact with each other is the real challenge in reducing cost, time and errors, says Dave Withenshaw.
Graphical representations of traditional operator interface devices such as push buttons and pilot lights, as well as numeric entry, diagnostic indicators and message displays, are pre-configured for simplified screen development.
Custom graphics can also be created with PanelBuilder's bitmap capabilities.
PanelBuilder 32 software supports the full range of PanelView standard products, including PanelView 550, 600, 900, 1000 and 1400, allowing easy conversion and reuse of previously created applications which can be quickly transferred using a PC memory card.
PanelBuilder's Microsoft Windows graphical interface simplifies application design and reduces development costs.
PanelView 600 touch-only alarm capabilities allow for the logging of alarms not only on a historical basis, but also as currently active versus inactive.
This advanced alarm capability is designed to improve up-time by providing a more timely and accurate record of machine and process problems.
Ideal for OEMs shipping abroad, the PanelView 600 touch-only is equipped with Universal Language Support.
The 16-bit character capability can be used to create screen and object text in over 46 different languages, including Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Russian.
In addition, the complete text file can be easily copied to an Excel spread sheet, sent to a translator for translation into any of the 46 languages now supported by Rockwell Automation, and then copied into PanelBuilder 32.
This feature makes it easy to convert a complete application into another language.
Flexible communications options are available, including ControlNet, DeviceNet, Data Highway PlusTM, Remote I/O, DH-485, RS-232 (DH-485 protocol) and Modbus -making the PanelView flat display panel products ideal for PLC, SLC 500TM, MicroLogixTM and other controller applications.
The PanelView 600 touch-only operator terminal provides end users and OEMs with a cost effective colour option for the popular Panelview 550.
Its introduction follows the trend of providing enhanced graphic displays across a wide range of machines and industries. Request a free brochure from Rockwell Automation ...
