Rockwell Automation announces the appointment of Mark Daniels as UK Drives product manager. Mark joined the Allen-Bradley organisation in 1987 following graduation from City University, London.

Rockwell Automation announces the appointment of Mark Daniels as UK Drives product manager.

Mark joined the Allen-Bradley organisation in 1987 following graduation from City University, London with a BSc in Control Engineering.

He moves to the Drives group from Control and Information, where he was product manager for the last 3 years.

Mark will be responsible for the Allen-Bradley Drives Business Unit in the UK.

This includes marketing, the development and management of sales strategies, local product launches and sales support.

Commenting on the appointment Mark said, "This is an exciting time for the Allen-Bradley Drives group and I am looking forward to the new challenge.

My main priority will be the UK launch of the PowerFlex range of drives and I will be able use my experience to ensure the successful introduction of this innovative new range".

Mark joined Allen-Bradley in 1987 as an applications engineer for machine vision systems and moved to a technical support role for bar code machines in 1988.

He was a product sales specialist for three years before promotion to product manager for the Control and Information Group in 1998, with the responsibility for networks, distributed I/O and small PLCs.

In addition to his responsibilities at Rockwell Automation, Mark is also the newly appointed Chairman of DeviceNet UK, the organisation established to promote the benefits of DeviceNet technology in the UK.
