Automation announces RSView32 WebServerTM, a secure, low cost means of remotely viewing RSView32 SCADA / HMI projects using a standard web browser RSView32 WebServer enables remote access via the Internet / Intranet, enabling users to remotely view snapshots of graphic displays, tag and alarm data

Access can be made using any platform and operating system including Unix, Windows CE, Linux or Macintosh, with any HTML 3.2 compliant web browser.

No additional software or project related files are required on the Client other than a standard web browser.

RSView32WebServer is quick and easy to set up requiring no administration.

It uses existing software and user knowledge to provide a low cost remote SCADA / HMI client solution.

Users simply request the snapshot views of graphic displays, tag and alarm data, from a default navigation page using a web browser.

Security is addressed by the authentication of the client session against the RSView32 user list or the Windows NT security list within the server.

RSView32WebServer provides users with the opportunity to reduce manufacturing costs, increase operating efficiency, improve product quality and be more responsive to customers needs by providing remote access to accurate and relevant real time data.

Authorised personnel can view this data wherever there is access to the Internet or a company Intranet.

"Rockwell Automation offers a wide variety of client solutions for RSView32 accommodating all remote HMI/SCADA requirements," comments Lee Preston, product manager Rockwell Software.

"In addition to RSView32WebServer, we provide the full user interactive, dynamically animated option of 'RSView32 Active Display System', allowing complete user interaction with the Server." RSView32 Active Display System uses Microsoft Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) and Active X Technologies to provide a thin client solution.

The RSView32 Active Display System provides immediate out of the box support for Windows 2000 Terminal Services, enabling Server applications to be executed from thin Clients, such as handheld devices etc.

Running server applications from mobile terminals is now very much a reality. Request free introductory details about products from Rockwell Automation ...
