Bearings for demanding and high performance machine tool applications feature radial needle roller bearings combined with axial cylindrical roller to enhance static and dynamic stiffness.

The Unitec brand name has been established in the UK by R A

Rodriguez as a compact range of bearings for demanding and high performance machine tool applications.

It is the success of these products that has prompted this Letchworth-based supplier of precision engineering components to introduce another Unitec range.

Supplied in a very wide choice of sizes and rotational accuracies to suit the application, the newcomer is the 281 series of combined axial-radial bearings for ballscrews.

These radial needle roller bearings combined with axial cylindrical roller are designed to enhance static and dynamic stiffness in ballscrew applications.

Supplied with optional extended inner races for rotary shaft seals and/or fixing flanges, these combined bearings have a maximum running torque after assembly of up to 13.1Nm.

Maximum speed is 8,500 rpm and axial load ratings are up to 239kN dynamic and 812kN static; radial values are respectively 98kN and 208kN.
