Wear and shock resistant products satisfy a strong demand for non-corrodible bearing units for machinery in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

A strong demand for non-corrodible bearing units for machinery in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries resulted the introduction of the R A

Rodriguez Greenlign range.

Now this range has been extended to include a version that typically caters for applications where a light bearing housing or electrical insulation is required.

This brings the total number of housing types in the range to six.

The new LFL housings - suitable for shaft sizes from 12 - 35mm - are made to close tolerances from tough precision-moulded thermoplastic that is both wear and shock resistant.

Unlike cast iron housings, the plastic housing surface is easily cleaned and will not corrode or promote the growth of micro-organisms.

Furthermore, there is no coating to chip or scratch.

The plastic used is characterised by its excellent resistance to a variety of chemicals including aliphatic hydrocarbons, gasoline, oils and fats, alcohols, glycols, ethers, high molecular weight esters and ketones, dilute acids (pH 4 - 9), detergents and most aqueous salt solutions.

Stainless steel bearings are fitted as standard.

Just housings, or housings with economy insert bearings can also be specified.

The housings are interchangeable with most standard cast iron units and the bearings are assembled by means of a loading slot, allowing easy removal or exchange if required.

Typically the new additions to the Greenlign range will be used in conveyors and machinery for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industry and particularly in machines exposed to corrosive processes and environments.
