6-axis CNC super precision grinding center
A fully automatic 6-axis CNC super precision grinding center, the GrindSmart 620XS, for manufacturing rotary cutting tools, now has the capability to grind replaceable inserts.
The dressing sticks can be square or rectangular in shape.
When the device moves into position, it places the sticks into upright position ready for dressing.
The wheel pack then travels to the dressing stick and automatically dresses itself.
Various wheel shapes can be pre-programmed, so that the machine knows the exact dressing path and angle to follow.
Advantages include the following.
* Automated tool grinding becomes consistent during unattended operation.
* Emulates the way an operator would stick (dress) the wheel.
* Cleans and opens the wheels.
