StickSmart is a new option from Rollomatic, providing automatic wheel sticking between machine grinding cycles, for the GrindSmart 620XS and 6000XL tool and cutter grinding machines A silicon-carbide or aluminum-oxide dressing stick is clamped in a device which swivels automatically into position for dressing whenever the program calls for it

The dressing sticks can be square or rectangular in shape.

When the device moves into position, it places the sticks into upright position ready for dressing.

The wheel pack then travels to the dressing stick and automatically dresses itself.

Various wheel shapes can be pre-programmed, so that the machine knows the exact dressing path and angle to follow.

Advantages include the following.

* Automated tool grinding becomes consistent during unattended operation.

* Emulates the way an operator would stick (dress) the wheel.

* Cleans and opens the wheels.
