* 1 Megapixel camera.
* Colour camera.
* New software design with icons for every option or measuring function.
* Four USB ports for printer, mouse, keyboard.
* Program in Unicode, it's also possible to produce the program for Asian languages.
* Without the separate counter module.
* Using the USB port for updates, saving from tool data, etc.
The measuring methods and options available on the drop-down menus have not changed from the previous E-Pro 3 version.
Features of the the E-Pro measuring system are as follows.
* Linear scales AcuRite 0.001mm.
* Memory for 99 tool references.
* Memory for 1000 tools, Ident-No 12 digits alphanumerical.
* Internal tool management.
* External tool management (optional, Ethernet).
* Absolute-difference-incremental-display mode.
* Radius-diameter.
* mm-inch.
* Hold function.
* Parallel correction.
* Password input..
* Data output to label / tool list or DNC (optional).
E - Pro Vision System measuring method has the following features.
* Fixed and flying axis.
* Maximum values.
* Measure centre point only.
Measuring modes include the following.
* Automatic recognition of measuring by contour analysis.
* Alternative manual set of measuring mode by mouse-click.
Measuring functions are as follows.
* Line/angle/radius.
* Angle and radius nominal value with tolerance-circle.
* Moveable cross hair.
* Display and handling elements.
* Adjustment aid for both axis.
* Analysis window variable, definition by mouse-click.
* Toggle between colour and black and white.
* Inverse tool.
* Zoom 40X.
* Display-hard-copy by Ethernet for documentation of the measured result.
* Profile master, Stores tool contour lines for comparative measuring.
DNC interface is included on the E-Pro control system.
The E-Pro Control system allows for definable post processing of the measured values permitting direct DNC output to a machine control.
A number of different configurations (up to a maximum five) can be stored directly on the system and new or additional ones can be uploaded via a PC interface.
If a large number of different DNC outputs are required then there is an optional PC based software system to manage and control the many different functions and programs.
The output can be defined via RS232 or to a direct IP address on an Ethernet connection.
A number of postprocessor formats are already available for example Siemens Sinumerik 840D, Heidenhain CNC Pilot 4290, etc.
Additional ones can be written as required based on the customer's own specifications.
The E-Pro 4 with colour screen is an imaging system with integral counter analysis for three axes.
The E-Pro 4 is supplied with the following components.
* E-Pro 4 (analysing electronics with colour TFT and touch screen) * Digital CMOS camera.
* LED light (transmitting light LED).
* CD ROM with user manual.
* Calibration log.
* Mini power pack (optional).
* USB mouse (optional).
* USB keyboard (optional).
The E-Pro 4 meets the conditions of standards EN 61000-6-4 (emission) and EN 61000-6-2 (immunity).
The E-Pro 4 supports the following operating elements: touch screen; USB mouse and USB keyboard.
It is not necessary to connect a keyboard and mouse.
All system functions can be operated using the integral touch screen.
Alphanumeric characters can be entered without an external keyboard by using a screen keyboard.
This appears as soon as a text box is touched twice with the fingertip or if you right-click on it.
* Tool inspection mode - the E-Pro Control system allows for real time tool inspection of the cutting edges.
The operating mode (Black/White) specifies whether an object and its contour are to be displayed and analysed under the transmission light procedure or the incident light procedure.
The transmission light procedure is the standard procedure for measuring objects and the basis for accurate measurement results.
The incident light procedure is used, for example, for cutting edge inspections.
The operator can use this to make a very good visual check of the surface of an object to see whether there is any damage.
With the integral measurement programs, edges on the surface of an object can be analysed geometrically very well.
