A change in decoration for light butter brand Bridelight has enabled RPC Tedeco-Gizeh Troyes to achieve a breakthrough in the labelling of oval tubs.

A change in decoration for light butter brand Bridelight has enabled RPC Tedeco-Gizeh Troyes to achieve a breakthrough in the labelling of oval tubs.

Bridelight manufacturer Lactalis wanted to replace the existing printed decoration with wrap-around labels, a process that was complicated by the shape of the container.

RPC Tedeco-Gizeh Troyes collaborated with Lactalis and labelling equipment manufacturer Pago to develop a new technology specially designed to enable the application.

The photographic labels for the tub have been manufactured in two designs (for soft and half-salted product varieties) for application to 250g and 500g pack sizes.

The labelling of the tub wrap-around is completed by the offset printing of the bottom.

The new labelling option adds to the choice of decoration technology available from RPC Tedeco-Gizeh Troyes, which includes offset printing, pre-printing and in-mould labelling.

With claimed excellent photographic reproduction and a wider choice of designs, RPC believes labelling represents a significant aid to brands requiring a distinctive presence.

The company added that following the success with Bridelight, there is growing interest in the new labelling technology and RPC Tedeco-Gizeh Troyes is already considering further applications.
