RPC Containers Raunds has manufactured an unusually-shaped squeezable bottle for the new product from the UK's number one dessert toppings brand, Lyle's Golden Syrup.

RPC Containers Raunds has manufactured an unusually-shaped squeezable bottle for the new product from the UK's number one dessert toppings brand, Lyle's Golden Syrup The new Lyle's Squeezy Syrup range, comprising seven flavours, combines fun appeal with ingredients (including real fruit juices) that have been developed without artificial colours or preservatives

Manufacturer Tate and Lyle required a novel packaging format that would stand out on shelf and be fun to use.

The design, a contemporary twist on the famous 'golden arch' of Lyle's Golden Syrup, features a contoured shape for a pleasing, tactile feel and is squeezable for fast, effective dispense, said RPC.

RPC Raunds has turned the technically-challenging concept in to a workable, blow moulded pack.

The 268ml container is manufactured in high-clarity co-polymer polypropylene for ease of squeezability and high visibility.

The colourful shrink sleeve that decorates the container is part-clear to allow consumers to see the product.

Each flavour's sleeve and cap are colour-matched for ease of differentiation.

"Lyle's Squeezy Syrup is a significant addition to the Lyle's Golden Syrup brand, offering a tasty topping in an innovative family-friendly format.

The pack from RPC Raunds provides excellent functionality and visual appeal," commented Alison Ashman, senior brand manager at Tate and Lyle.
