Soups' PET Value Pack With No Quality Compromise
Leading soup manufacturer Campbell Grocery Products has launched two best-selling dry soup brands in a handy value jar, manufactured by RPC Containers Blackburn.
Leading soup manufacturer Campbell Grocery Products has launched two best-selling dry soup brands in a handy value jar, manufactured by RPC Containers Blackburn.
The range of three flavours retails in the UK under the Batchelor's Cup-a-Soup brand and in France as part of Royco Minute Soup.
Already available in sachet packs containing four to five servings, Campbell's wanted to provide a larger size - allowing 12 servings - to provide better value for core consumers.
Following the success of RPC Blackburn's PET jar design for Campbell's Oxo gravy granules, the company decided to again use PET, which is valued by consumers for its modern aesthetics and its practical benefits of being lightweight and shatterproof, according to RPC.
Injection-stretch blow moulded in PET, the 300g jar features an attractive curved shape, which stands out on-shelf and is easy for consumers to handle.
The jar is decorated with full body shrink sleeve from Fuji, applied at RPC Blackburn using a steam tunnel to guarantee an excellent fit to the contours of the jar, said RPC.
For added impact at the point of consumption, RPC Blackburn has used coloured PET - blue for Batchelor's, red for Royco - which is visible at the top of the jar when the cap is removed.
"Producing a value pack does not mean compromising on quality, and RPC Blackburn's eye-catching, user-friendly container achieves a strong brand image," commented Paul Finch of Campbell's Soups.
