Chinese aluminium show successful

Aluminium China exhibition attracted 6744 professional visitors at the end of May to view products and services displayed by 265 exhibiting companies from 24 countries.

Said by the organisers, Reed Exhibitions, to be Asia's 'Number 1' aluminium industry event, Aluminium China 2008 welcomed 6744 professional visitors.

Located at China's major aluminium processing and application centre, the fourth edition of this event established a firm foothold in the highly important South China market.

The show took place in the excellent China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex.

There were 265 exhibiting companies from 24 nations, of which more than 70 companies arrived from the Guangdong province.

They featured prominent brands like Asia Aluminium, Kamkiu, Xingfa, Guangya, Xingya, Fenglv, Golden Aluminium and Haomei.

Chinalco represented leading companies from around China and had joined the show as a major sponsor this year.

Internationally, Aluminium China attracted over 100 of the world's best known companies from 24 nations, including Alcoa, Aleris, Dubal, Novelis, Furukawa-Sky, Siemens VAI, Wagstaff, Fata Hunter and Granco Clark.

Complementing the exhibition this year are a series of open as well as invitation only factory visits.

The show attracted scores of visiting delegations from the area where aluminium professionals concentrate.

Reed reported that more than 420 aluminium decision makers and engineers made good use of the free pickup service offered to the local visitor groups.

* Aluminium fabrication industry - China Non Ferrous Metal Industry Association along with China's leading aluminium information and consultancy provider, Antaike, launched a conference 'China Aluminum Fabrication Forum' as part of the Aluminium China exhibition and conference mix.

This leading conference was supported by the IAA, AA, JAA, EAFA and featured topics covering the latest policies on aluminium fabrication in China, Chinalco's Strategy on M and A in the fabrication sector as well as a rolling mill overview.

Aluminium China 2008 represented an important step in the brand's strategic expansion with this latest success in the Pearl River delta region, said Reed.

Aluminium China will return to Shanghai and the SNIEC for the world's largest aluminium gathering in 2009.

Around 350 exhibitors from over 30 countries and 10,000 professional visitors from over 90 nations worldwide will atten d, said Reed.

Close to 40% of the available stands for Aluminium China 2009 were sold onsite, said Reed.
