Kem Edwards, a leading component and tool distributor in the UK, has implemented Reqios Product Information Management solution and delivered an online product catalogue to its customers.

Kem Edwards, a leading component and tool distributor in the UK, has implemented Reqios Product Information Management solution and delivered an online product catalogue to its customers The solution is set to improve the customer experience, open a new sales channel and streamline internal efficiencies

In January 2004, Kem Edwards chose Reqios hosted solution for the management of their product data and the delivery of an online catalogue for customers.

Since this decision was made, Kem Edwards and Reqio have loaded over 10,000 product lines from suppliers such as Fischer Fixings, Draper Tools and Unistrut.

The solution, which is hosted by Reqio, is available to both existing account customers and new prospects and is tailored such that users see appropriate product ranges and prices.

Reqios Source and Select online catalogue solution provides customers with easy to use methods for browsing, searching, and comparing products within the Kem Edwards range.

Once selected, a link to Protx, the online credit card authorisation bureau, means that customers can not only source required items but also carry out the purchasing transaction.

Orders are fed into Maginus, Kem Edwards ERP and financial system, using an XML based integration, ensuring full auditability of purchases made and a seamless order placement process.

The integrated solution provides numerous benefits to all parties.
