CNC lathe combines Swiss and turret
functions
A CNC sliding headstock automatic lathe combines the benefits of a Swiss-turn and the flexibility of a turret machine and includes gang tools, turret and back-working spindle.
The Tsugami BH20SY CNC sliding head automatic lathe combines the benefits of a Swiss-turn and the flexibility of a turret machine, said Tsugami US importer REM Sales The 'BH20SY' has a sliding headstock with gang tools, a 12-station turret with stationary or rotating tools and a back-working machining spindle

Travelling column VMC has dual-pallet indexing
Vertical machining centre with a travelling column design and integrated rotary dual-pallet indexing system provides higher levels of productivity and output and efficient workpiece loading/unloading.
REM told manufacturingtalk.com that all three 'paths' can work on parts simultaneously.
In this way, the BH20SY reduces cycle times, and can completely machine complex parts up to 20mm diameter in a single set-up.
Adding to the BH20's productivity, spindle speeds up to 12,000 rev/min are possible on the main and back machine spindles.
The BH20 can operate with or without a guide bushing so the most suitable operation for the workpiece length may be chosen.
The machine spindle without a guide bushing doesn't require ground bars, enabling high speed and high precision when machining cold drawn bars, said REM.
Users may opt for Tsugami's automatic programming system, which allows 'novice' programmers to create CNC programs for complex, highly precise parts.
