Wadworth has chosen Rockware Glass's new standard off-the-shelf 500cl beer bottle for its popular 6X brand.
One of the first national schemes to be launched over six years ago was Rockware Glass's Glassforever programme, and the scheme beat off strong competition to capture the leading materials prize at this year's award, and overall runner-up.
Zoe Cross, who accepted the award on behalf of Rockware, said: "Six years after our launch, we are still visiting hundreds of schools and delighting thousands of seven-11 year olds on the value of glass recycling.
This award vindicates all the hard work that we put in to keep the programme lively and topical." According to Rockware, the judges were impressed by the content, based on national curriculum requirements, the passion and the professionalism of the programme.
Glassforever shows the children how with little effort, the glass that they and their parents consume can last forever if recycled, instead of being lost forever if put in the bin.
