RedPrairie Associate Director appointed to management council of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK)
David Kirkwood, Associate Director of RedPrairie, the world's leading consumer-driven optimisation company, has been elected Chairman of the Technology Faculty at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) and to the Institute's overall Council David Kirkwood has over 30 years experience of logistics and information technology, and prior to joining RedPrairie held senior management positions with a number of leading international companies, including retail giant Tesco, warehouse technology providers Dallas Systems and Swisslog, and logistics service provider Tibbett and Britten

The purpose of the Technology Faculty is to help all members of the CILT (UK) better appreciate the role of technology, understand what is practical and possible, and make the selection and implementation of technology easier and more effective.
The Technology Faculty consists of four Forums:.
* Warehouse Management Systems.
* Warehouse and Materials Handling.
* Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).
* Freight and Transport Management Systems and Passenger Management Systems.
