Controlled access cabinet links to tool management
Polstore Storage Systems and Sandvik Coromant UK have reached an agreement whereby Polstore's new product innovation CasC will have protocols with the Coromant tool management software package.
Coromant will also be stressing its strong focus on technical support, providing added value and first hand support to all customers, whatever their size or tooling requirement.
There will also be a number of new products making their first appearance at the exhibition from Sandvik Coromant's extensive, and on-going, product introduction programme amounting to some 1500 new products annually.
Among these are a new high performance insert grade for die and mould and additions to the CoroCut face grooving system.

Cutting insert is ideal for long cuts
Ideal for applications machining long passes on large components a new grade combination is primarily developed for medium to roughing operations of steels and nodular cast iron.
Pencil collets poke cutters deeper into pockets
Pencil collets allow longer overhang machining into cavities and pockets with no compromise on stability, making them particularly suited to detailed die and mould applications.
Rigid clamping is ideal for multi-tasking machines
A secure and easy-to-operate clamping solution, that is ideal for use in turning operations on multi-tasking machine tools, now includes units designed to work at 45 degrees.
New GC H10P grade especially developed for solid precision tools - today, most machining operations in die and mould making start from a non hardened steel.
With the introduction of its new GC H10P grade, Sandvik Coromant is now offering the possibility to start from pre-hardened steel and in doing so, eliminate many of the traditional production steps and reduce expensive tool changes.
This is the first cemented carbide grade from Sandvik Coromant especially developed for solid tools.
The new technology - named Pluratech - features extremely fine-grained carbide with PVD coating.
Endmills in this grade can be produced with very sharp edges with long tool life and predictable and visualised wear behaviour.
This results in a very safe and easy to control cutting process.
The new GC H10P grade is a semi-to-finishing grade for machining of dies and moulds in pre-hardened steel (harder than 54 HRC) allowing the user to make all machining steps in a single set-up.
The grade also eliminates polishing and, in many cases, the need for expensive EDM.
As a result, quality is improved and shorter lead-times result since many steps in the traditional production chain can be eliminated.
The new GC H10P grade is also available for CoroMill Plura ballnose cutters in diameters from 1-16 mm.
Expanded CoroCut systems from Sandvik Coromant - for a variety of operations including parting, grooving, turning, profiling and shallow and face grooving, the CoroCut programme offers unrivalled stability with its unique strong screw clamping system.
In face grooving operations the new Q-Cut full radius geometry -7P permits improved chip forming, both at first cut as well as when opening up the groove by side turning and is available in an assortment of 0deg and 90deg holders and bars.
The Q-Cut 151.3 system and the CoroCut 1-2 edge system meets the requirement for stability and chip control for high quality parting and grooving, especially in face grooving applications.
The CoroCut system provides the latest carbide grades optimised for different workpiece materials - all to ensure trouble free machining combined with improved productivity.
The system covers first cut diameters from 24mm and the CoroCut 1-2 edge system from 34mm.
