Seminars and sector needs focus on
tooling
"Mini seminars' and sectors devoted to industry sector needs will highlight metal cutting tooling and toolholder developments and tool management systems.
In addition to launching a range of new products, Sandvik Coromant will be majoring on the theme of 'Your Productivity Partner' at the forthcoming EMO 2003 exhibition On the main stand in Hall 15, visitors from Europe's key manufacturing sectors - Automotive, Aerospace, Power Generation, Die and Mould, Pumps, Valves and Heavy Equipment - will have segments of the stand devoted to their particular metal cutting needs

A comprehensive catalogue of tools and methods for the die and mould making industry includes two free CDs - one containing a metal cutting data module to optimise cutting data.
In addition there will also be a section devoted to small part machining, an area of particular focus for many Coromant customers.
On the stand there is also a programme of 'mini seminars' and a speakers corner that will encourage constructive debate on industry issues.
Sandvik Coromant's service offer will also be a major focus, highlighting areas such as training, tool management, software support and special tooling solutions.
On the stand located in Hall 20 (the machine tool hall) the Sandvik Coromant Original Tooling Services (OTS) team will be highlighting their abilities to work closely with the machine tool suppliers in creating dedicated tooling packages on new machine tools in order to optimise the machines performance.
The OTS operation works with most of the world's leading machine tool builders in developing, specifying and appraising tooling solutions to ensure maximum productivity is achieved from a customer investment.
In terms of new products, there will be at least six new Coromant introductions at EMO.
These will include CoroCut 3, a new parting and grooving solution and two new grade programmes specifically aimed at cast iron and stainless steel turning respectively.
The new CoroBore 820 is a high productivity boring tool for roughing operations while CoroMill 790 with 16mm inserts is a new shoulder cutter designed for high speed milling of aluminium.
Finally, there will be demonstrations of the latest Pathtrace EdgeCAM software which now features the Sandvik Coromant CoroGuide electronic tooling catalogue.
