Tooling exhibit aimed at four key user sectors
Tooling exhibit to be based around the theme of "your industry, your business" with four key market sectors highlighted: mould and die, automotive, aerospace and general engineering.
This smaller version of the cutter is primarily for machines with lower spindle powers offering high metal removal rates per kW available though the spindle along with exceptional ramping capability.
Other key features of the new cutter include low axial and radial run out and high security with the serrated insert location pocket.
The cutter is also available in a Coromant Capto integrated design.
With this new version, the CoroMill 790 is most effectively used for roughing to finish ramping and helical interpolation, generating deep, straight shoulders with minimal mismatch.
CoroMill 790 has been primarily developed for users such as manufacturers of frame components for the aerospace industry and die and mould makers when milling deep cavities.
However it will find applications in many other industries where, fast, economic manufacturing of pockets and cavities is required.
