The latest multi-tasking machine tools aim for work pieces to be finish machined in a single set-up, however complex But can the tooling set-up meet the demands of the machine tool? Sandvik Coromant has the answer with its innovative 'Multi-task mini turret' through which the operator has the option to build his own specific Multi-Task mini turret by combining the new CoroTurn SL adaptor plates with standard cutting heads and cutting blades for turning and grooving operations

Benefits to the user include space savings in the tooling magazine, less time spent changing tools and rediced 'chip-to-chip' time.

The new adaptor plates work with standard Coromant Capto quick change modular tool holders, saving additional cost and further reducing inventory.

At the heart of the Multi-Task machining solution is the ability to fit four cutting heads to one tool holder for both internal and external use, will not only reduce time for changing tools but also save space in the tool magazine.

The CoroTurn SL mini turret adaptor plates are available for axial and radial assembly in two sizes.
