The new CoroTurn RC Twin Tool from Sandvik Coromant is designed for users of multi-tasking machine tools to reduce tool changing times while maximising accessibility and stability during turning operations.

Its optimised design and length offer more flexibility, leading to more productive multi-task machining.

With two tip-seats in one holder, the CoroTurn RC Twin Tool also provides the possibility to change operations using the same tool.

This shortens the indexing time while saving space in the tool magazine.

The rigid clamping of the insert combined with the Coromant Capto coupling ensures excellent stability and high security against any risk of insert or toolholder movement.

The unique RC clamp design secures the insert in two directions by combining downward forces with the tip seat positioning, producing very strong clamping and favourable repeatability when indexing.

The Twin Tool has been introduced to accommodate the demands that multi-tasking machine tools place on the cutting tools as the large spindle nose often causes accessibility problems against the chuck, tailstock and the work piece.
