Tooling exhibit aimed at four key user sectors
Tooling exhibit to be based around the theme of "your industry, your business" with four key market sectors highlighted: mould and die, automotive, aerospace and general engineering.
At MACH 2006, its theme of 'Powering up Productivity' will enable visitors to discuss and examine how they can claim a share of this massive potential saving that, in today's 'cost down' manufacturing environment, could mean the difference between keeping major manufacturing projects within the UK or losing them overseas.
"Sandvik Coromant has always maintained a major focus on productivity but at MACH we are further fine tuning our customer focus with this initiative," claimed UK managing director Dave Purchase.
"In effect, as well as talking feeds and speeds with us, we are inviting visitors to also talk pounds and pence and supported by a range of other initiatives including a new generation of inserts, industry sector showcases and a daily seminar programme on our stand, we think there will be a great deal to interest and engage our visitors." The 'flag ship' grade in the new insert generation programme is GC4225 which addresses the need to achieve best results in the diverse ISO P25 area by the application of a single insert grade.

Cutting insert is ideal for long cuts
Ideal for applications machining long passes on large components a new grade combination is primarily developed for medium to roughing operations of steels and nodular cast iron.
For tough and demanding steel milling operations, Sandvik Coromant's new GC1030 and GC4240 grades are the first in a new generation of milling grades purpose designed for modern machining conditions where predictability and security are vital.
For super alloy machining, the new Coromant GC1105 grade is the first choice for versatile machining in application areas from roughing to intermediate and last stage machining, all with the same grade.
Finally, the CB7015 CBN grade offers significant cost savings in providing the ability to turn hardened surfaces with high metal removal rates, predictability and reliability.
New products at MACH include the CoroDrill 805 deep hole drilling variant which uses the same insert as the CoroDrill 800 deep hole drill.
This introduction follows the of the highly successful launch of the CoroDrill 880 short hole drill in 2005, range with its unique 'Step Technology' technique to create outstanding cutting force balance.
For roughing to semi-finishing of cast iron components the CoroMill 365 face milling cutter is the latest development, ideal for applications where large volumes of material need to be removed quickly and safely.
Throughout MACH, Sandvik Coromant will also be presenting its '10 Minute Topic' programme of mini -seminars on stand 5130 in Hall 5.
Presented by Coromant industry sector experts, the topics being covered include 'Powered up Productivity', 'The Benefits of Multi-Tasking, Small Part Success, Aerospace Advances, an Automotive update and 'People Power' which addresses creating improvements in productivity by improving the skills of employees.
Each topic will be addressed once daily throughout the show with seminars * Powered up productivity - learn the secrets of value-added machining from the masters of metal-cutting.
* Multi-tasking: maxi-benefits - discover how to make the most of your multi-task investment, with our total tooling packages.
* Small part success - get the performance-boosting secrets from our machining specialists.
* Aerospace advances - set your sights higher with the help of new cutting-edge technologies.
* Automotive update - turbo-charge your metal cutting performance with new tools and techniques.
