Tooling exhibit aimed at four key user sectors
Tooling exhibit to be based around the theme of "your industry, your business" with four key market sectors highlighted: mould and die, automotive, aerospace and general engineering.
The single screw release design of the QS tool holder will reduce tool change times from 3 to 1 min, while the spring loaded wedges ensure quick and safe extraction and reduce the risk of dropping the holder.
Once in the machine, the insert edge position is automatically set by contact between the short holder and the stop.
Individual kits are optimised for best performance in specific machine types with toolholders available for front and back turning, parting-off, grooving and threading in 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 16mm shank sizes for Citizen K, C, L and M-Series machines.
The highly secure insert edge position of the QS system will improve accuracy with 30% less movement when front and back turning, while tool holders for the system are available in a wide range of Sandvik Coromant tooling systems for best results.
The QS Holding System is set to become the standard on Citizen 'Cincom' machines and has been developed following an exclusive development programme between Sandvik Coromant and Citizen in Japan.
