A gate trimming tool has a very sharp blade positioned at 45 deg to shear plastics sprue gates located in difficult-to-reach, confined narrow spaces.

SAS Automation has introduced a gate trimming tool that has a 'razor sharp' blade positioned at a 45 deg angle to precisely shear a sprue gate in hard to reach narrow places The gate trimmer uses a special cylinder to hold the blade to precisely actuate the gate cutting process

The cylinder can be mounted in many angles to access hard to reach sprue gates.

The gate trimmer's cylinder actuated guillotine motion accesses very hard to reach areas.

The unit is a easy-to-use, compact, affordable degater, said SAS Automation.

It is designed to greatly improve production efficiencies and product quality.

Richard Petz, general manager for SAS Automation, said: "This degater will be appreciated by anyone needing precision cutting from awkward locations".

"Taking up small production floor space is another feature of this degater".
