Forklift trucks: indispensable tools that can kill
Samuk Lift Trucks discusses the safety record of forklift trucks, a vehicle which is very dangerous if not operated correctly, or if proper safety procedures are not in place.
Distribution centres will often utilise their trucks continuously throughout a shift, general purpose warehouses have a more hop-on, hop-off requirement.
This leaves lift truck buyers having to compromise.
Trucks capable of running all-day will be over specified for the hop-on hop-off user, likewise trucks designed for casual use will be unreliable when pushed beyond their design limits.

Materials handling company improves productivity
New technology is reducing paperwork and improving productivity for specialist manufacturer of bespoke materials' handling equipment such as trolleys, stillages and production line equipment.
The Samuk+HC R series solves these problems.
Available in three specifications: R, Rc and R+, the new trucks match the truck's specification to the application.
The regular R model is aimed at 80 percent of the market, offering high performance and reliability.
It features major components from leading European manufacturers and is suitable for between two and five thousand hours use annually.
Having a probable 15,000 hours use between major overhauls, these trucks will have a good residual value.
The Rc version is lower cost.
It still features high quality components but is specified for between one and two thousand hours use annually.
These trucks will reward the skilled hop-on hop-off user with many years of reliable service.
Initial cost comes before residual value, but the truck comes with the standard Samuk+HC warranty support.
Extra features like a fully suspended power train identify the R+.
These trucks will be bought by the top 10 percent of the market for whom Health and Safety and high performance are key issues.
The suspended power train reduces vibration and noise which means operators and bystanders are happier.
This also contributes to a better working environment.
Heavy - duty construction, subtropical cooling and micro filters on every system mean that these trucks will work hard and long.
The new R Series, with capacities up to 3.5 tonnes, has a range of duplex and triplex masts lifting to heights of 6 metres with full free lift if required.
The whole range of masts is up to 25 percent stronger than competitive designs because of heavy sections and large rollers.
All the trucks benefit from the excellent through mast visibility, which of course makes it easier for the driver, reducing accidents and damage to product and fixtures.
Commenting on the launch of the new R Series, Samuk+HC CEO Vanda Morris is bullish: "The thought that has gone into the specification and pricing of the new R Series means that the end user can get just the right truck for their application.
We are confident that the Samuk+HC approach of heavy-duty construction, reliability and ease of service will get this series of trucks an excellent reputation with end users and dealers.
