The RM-X provides an MPCE feedback signal, and is an accessory product that provides mechanical relay safety outputs for STI safety control products that have solid-state outputs (OSSD).
The term Muting is defined as bypassing the protective function of the safety light curtain and is only permitted by ANSI B11.19 during the non-hazardous portion of the machine cycle.
Muting is commonly applied to press and conveyor systems so that material can be transported through the protected field without interruption of the process.
The RM-3 is a two-channel mute module, allowing it to provide the muting function to two different safety devices.
The RM-3 has sensor inputs for four sensors per channel, allowing muting systems with two, three or four sensors to be created.
The module's logic, combined with the sensor inputs, is designed to support a variety of safeguarding applications.
