Safety contact strips and pressure-sensitive safety mats to guard machinery are now available in yellow for enhanced visibility and worker safety.

SGE Series safety contact strips and UM series pressure-sensitive safety mats from Scientific Technologies, are now available in yellow for enhanced visibility and worker safety SGE series safety contact strips feature molded end caps as well as wiring plugs that are inserted directly into the safety contact for simplified assembly

The co-extruded safety contact is an integral part of the profile, eliminating the need to 'fish' the safety contact into the profile.

The safety contact is housed in and protected from damage by an outer covering of non-conductive rubber that allows actuation angles up to 90 degrees.

This construction offers low resistance, even in lengths exceeding 100 meters.

SGE series safety contact strips can be used to safeguard many hazards, including gates, doors, machines and scissor lifts.

STI UM series safety mats are available in more than 150 standard and metric sizes.

Standard safety mats are available in widths from 12in to 48in, and lengths from 12in to 72in.

Metric safety mats are available in widths from 300mm (11.8in) to 1200mm (47.2in), and lengths from 250mm (9.84in) to 1800mm (70.9in).

They are available with five and 10m cables.

Custom solutions are available for unique, non-standard application requirements.

With headquarters in the heart of Silicon Valley, STI was founded over 30 years ago and employs more than 330 people.

STI has been selected twice by Forbes and three times by Business Week as one of the 'world's best small companies'.

STI's safety products are used to protect workers around machinery, automated equipment and industrial robots.
