Digital pressure gauge used in hazardous
locations
Digital Pressure Gauges approved for cCSAus Class 1 Division 1 use in hazardous locations have an extra large liquid crystal display with a light actuated circuit.
Scientific Technologies, Automation Products Groups PG-3000 Digital Pressure Gauges are now cCSAus Class 1 Division 1 approved for use in hazardous locations They are an ideal local pressure indicator for harsh application environments where conventional devices fail to provide reliable performance

Standard pressure ranges are available from vacuum to 500 psi and 0 up to 10,000 lb/in2.
This model is also qualified with an optional swivel pressure fitting with a flush mount sensor designed for applications that might otherwise plug a recessed pressure port (vac to 500 lb/in2 and 0 to 2000 lb/in2 max).
The PG-3000 is powered by two long-life lithium battery cells and is protected by a NEMA 4X enclosure.
The PG-30000 has an extra large (0.6in/15mm) 4.5 digit liquid crystal display with a light actuated circuit that automatically turns the unit off in darkness, thereby extending battery life when the gauge is placed in areas that are not always illuminated.
The PG-3000 pressure gauge is tough enough to resist the effects of pulsating pressures, a major advantage considering the negative effect of vibration on standard dial gauges.
The 1/2-14 NPTM fitting is fabricated from a single block of 316L SS using direct attach silicon strain gages.
This technology does not use a transfer media as with some competing designs that have the potential to leak into sensitive process media.
This single block stainless steel sensor technology also provides excellent burst and over-pressure characteristics and can withstand significant levels of vibration and shock.
A number of additional options and accessories are available, including metric units of measurement (at no extra cost) and metric process connection fittings.
Additional options include 4-20mA output (loop powered), +/-0.1% full scale accuracy with NIST certification on selected ranges, agency approved breather fittings for use in high humidity locations and an optional Sun Shield for applications where extended direct sunlight may cause temperatures in the enclosure to exceed the 85 C approval rating.
STI has been selected twice by Forbes and three times by Business Week as one of the 'worlds best small companies'.
